The Nuclear Industry Graduate School (NIGS) celebrated her 20th founding anniversary on Sept. 10. Mr. Wang Shoujun, the vice president of CNNC took part in this meeting and made a speech. Over 20 year, the NIGS has been persisting in cultivating graduated students for science research institutes, integrating basic education of graduated students and nuclear power technology training. It has already become one of the main education bases for high-level scientific and technical talents in nuclear industry, he said.
The Nuclear Industry Graduate School was established in 1986, and welcomed her first batch of graduated students on Sept. 1986. Throughout 20 years of developing and practicing, NIGS has grown from single basic education of graduated students to a trinity system to run a school, witch is composed of the education core of graduated students, the training characteristic of professional for serving in nuclear power, the efficient complement of adult education. NIGS has cultivated accumulatively total 1600 of masters and doctors for nuclear industry. The in-school student scale has recently achieved near 800 persons, but it only was 40 more persons in the beginning.
