On Oct. 19 the contract signing ceremony of main coolant pump and charging pump for the Extension Project of Qinshan NPP Phase II was held in Beijing, the leaders from CNNC, Nuclear Power Qinshan JVC and Japan Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. were taken part in this ceremony.

Through strict biding procedure, the Japanese company of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. has got the bid for manufacturing 4 main coolant pumps and 6 charging pumps. Up to now, the equipment with signed contract is some key equipment of the Extension Project of Qinshan NPP Phase II, and counts 30% of the total cost of equipment. The aim of indigenous manufacturing ratio as 70% on the Extension Project of Qinshan NPP Phase II should be realized entirely.
