The Ling’ao NPP Phase II Project awarded the contract of installing nuclear island to the 23rd Construction & Installation Corp. of CNEC. The signing ceremony of the nuclear island installation contract of Ling’ao NPP Phase II Project was held at the China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group on Jan. 11, 2006. The general-manager Fan Qunxi of the 23rd Construction & Installation Corp. of CNEC, general-manager Zheng Dongshan of the China Guangdong Nuclear Engineering Co. and general-manager Zheng Keping of the Ling’ao NPP Phase II Project represented their companies to make signatures on the contact sheet. It means the prelude of nuclear island installation.

With strong strength and abundance experience at home, the 23rd Construction & Installation Corp. of CNEC as the nuclear island installation contractor took part in the construction and installation of Daya Bay NPP, Ling’ao Phase I NPP and other Chinese nuclear power plants, and has got prominent achievements. In the nuclear island installation of Ling’ao Phase II Project, it is the first time for the 23rd Corp. to fully take charge in installation of primary coolant loop system of 1000MW PWR by self-reliance. It is a serious challenge, but the 23rd Corp. will do its best to get success.
