From February 25 to 26, Mr. KangRixin, the president of the CNNC attended the global nuclear energy Summit held in Windsor, UK. 24 top leaders of nuclear corporations from 13 countries exchanged views about energy security, environment protection, human resources, waste management and public acceptance. Mr. Kang, as the only representive from China, publicized the bright status of the nuclear power development in China and advocated more extensive international cooperation for rapid development.

All participants in this meeting believed that after slow or stagnation for over 20 years, nuclear power development in the world has entered a new stage. In Asia, such as China, Japan, India there are the most vigorous regions over developing nuclear energy with a greater pace.

“The Global Nuclear Energy Summit” is a top level forum, sponsored by Energy Strategists Consultancy Limited. Generally, the meeting only invited 20~30 participants who are the general manager or chief executive officer of national nuclear energy corporation.
