On March 20, the Russian delegation led by Sergei Kiriyenko, the head of the Federal Atomic Energy Agency (Rosatom) visited the Tianwan NPP. During the visit, the Russian delegation took a view of the working site, heard the report about Tianwan project’s general situation and current progress made by the general-manager Jiang Guoyuan of JNPC and the site chief-representative of Atomstroyexport separately.

It is reported, Mr. Sergei Kiriyenko, the head of the Rosatom met president Kang Rixin of the CNNC at the headquarters of the CNNC, Beijing on March 17. Mr. Kang introduced current situation of the CNNC, had a talk with Russian friends about the cooperation and communication in Tianwan NPP’s construction and fast experimental reactor project, etc. Mr. Kiriyenko introduced the Russian planning of nuclear power development, and hopes the cooperation between Russia and China in nuclear power will develop more widely and deeply. In the same day, Mr. Kiriyenko also met the director Sun Qin of China Atomic Energy Agency, and a friendly discussion was made by both side.
