CNNC signed C-2 nuclear class emergency diesel units building contract with CSIC |

On April 29,CNNC signed C-2 project nuclear-class emergency diesel units building contract with China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation(CSIC). Indigenous nuclear-class emergency diesel units that built by ShanXi Desel Engine Co.,Ltd (SXD) will be used in C-2 project, what concluded the situation that the key equipments of Chinese nuclear power plants completely dependent on imports.
CNNC is C-2 project¡¯s general contractor .WangShoujun, the vice president of CNNC said nuclear-class emergency diesel units is the one of nuclear power plant¡¯s 14 most important equipments, but it has been dependent on imports before. Through introducing into components and technical cooperation , SXD has held the 300 MW NPP nuclear-class emergency diesel units¡¯ building technology, it will expand Chinese NPP exports and accumulate experience for research&building 600MW and 1000MW NPP nuclear-class emergency diesel units.He also pointed out that CNNC will fully support the CSIC¡¯s works.
It is known that the C-2 project¡¯s building is now in the busiest time.(ZhangXin)
