Mexico outgoing Energy Minister propose to expand country¡¯s nuclear energy program
Mexico needs to expand its nuclear energy program and should start by constructing a new US$3 billion power plant, according to the country's outgoing Energy Minister Fernando Canales. He said he would meet with President-elect Felipe Calderon to propose that his new government build a 1500 MWe nuclear power plant in the next four or five years.(World Nuclear Association/18/9/2006)
