Uzbekistan will supply natural uranium to Japan
    Uzbekistan will reportedly begin supplying natural uranium to Japan in 2007. Some 300 tonnes of uranium will be exported to Japan via trading company Itochu Corp. The agreement calls for uranium exports to Japan in 2007-2012, with the quantity of the deliveries determined each year. In August, an agreement on uranium exports was reached during a visit to Uzbekistan by then Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizuma. (Ux Weekly, 6/11/2006)
