Indonesia has set a deadline of 2010 for construction nuclear power plant |

| Indonesia: The government has set a deadline of 2010 for construction to begin of the country¡¯s first nuclear power plant, according to Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro. He said, ¡®we have set our roadmap for the power plan and we have the goal to (begin to) construct the plant in 2010 and operate it in 2017¡¯. The government hopes that nuclear energy will provide some 4000 MWe to the national grid by 2025. (Dow Jones, 2 /11/2006) |
