Planning for a trial uranium mining and processing program at Trekkopje will begin in the first quarter of 2007, UraMin Inc announced. The program will help the company confirm and/or establish many of the design criteria to be used in the feasibility study effort being conducted by SRK Consulting. These include resource to reserve reconciliation, mine performance and productivity parameters, process scale-up, reagent consumption, product recovery, specification and operating costs. Consideration is also being given by UraMin to developing this trial into a more continuous operational mode once more detailed knowledge of the appropriate operating conditions and costs are known. This is currently planned for late 2007, if possible. The feasibility study is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2007. (UraMin, 20/11/2006)
