Qinshan Nuclear Power Company is the owner of Qinshan Nuclear Power Station. This station is the first nuclear power station with a 300MW pressurized water reactor which has been designed, constructed, operated and managed by China it's own. It was connected to the grid on Dec. 15th, 1991. It's success ended the no-nuclear-power history in Chinese Mainland, and it has acted as the important milestone in China's peaceful use of nuclear power. With thirteen years' operating experience, in the eighth fuel circle the station created the best record of it's kind in China by operating continuously in full power for 448 days, and continuously safe operation for 1379 days. The generated electricity of the station has over 23 trillion kWh, which has brought good economic and social benefits. The experience accumulated by this station in operating, commissioning, maintenance, training and environmental emergency provide strong support to the construction of later stations both in China and in Pakistan.
