On July 8, 2008, Sanmen nuclear power project of CNNC signed the contract which was about the design of Normal Island and BOP, and their technical service in Shanghai.

    Signing this contract means that the project of Sanmen Phase Ⅰ has reached another important point after signing the contract of general design and technical service, symbolizes that the work of engineering design and technical service has been fully implemented. Signing this contract also makes clear of the responsibility of the design institute and the project owner, and lays the foundations for dropping the construction risk of Normal Island.

    Mr. Gu Jun, manager of Sanmen nuclear power limited company, and Mr. Chen Shengming, director of electronic design institute in East China, signed this contract together. They said that both sides would take the cooperation as a good chance, fulfill their duty, achieve the contract objective, and strive for the first unit of AP 1000 in the world.(Bao he ming)
