On Aug 3, 2008, the first steam raising unit (SRU) was put up in No.3 reactor in the Qinshan Phase Ⅱ exetension project. It meaned that the installation about the main equipment of nuclear island started formally.

    As the boundary between the first loop and the second loop of nuclear power plant, the manufacture and the installation of SRU related to the safety and the stability of the lifetimeoperation of plant. CNNC Nuclear Power Qinshan Joint Venture Company Limited (NPQJVLC) paid more attention to the hoisting work, and discussed the hoisting plan for the several times. The 23^rd constration company of CNEC, China Nuclear Power Engineering Company Ltd (CNEPC), Nuclear Power Institute of China (NPIC) worked together, and ensured to finish the task of hoisting work successfully.
