On Sept 4, 2008, Mr. Lv Zushan, Vice-Secretary of Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the CPC and Governor of Zhejiang Province, visited CNNC headquarters. Mr. Kang Rixin, Secretary of the Party’s Leading Group and President of CNNC, Mr. Sun Youqi, Member of the Party’s Leading Group and Vice President of CNNC, Mr. Wang Sen, Member of the Party’s Leading Group and Chairman of the Discipline Inspection Group of CNNC, talked with Mr. Lv Zushan. They signed a document about reinforcing the construction of NPP and the cooperation of developing the uranium resources.

    Mr. Kang Rixin briefly introduced the development course of nuclear industry in China. Zhejiang Province was an economical province in east China, and was worthy of a nuclear power province which possessed Qinshan nuclear base, Kang said, for a long time the leaders from Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the CPC and Zhejiang Provincial Government cared about and supported the development of CNNC, and provided many helps for the development of CNNC. Mr. Kang showed that CNNC can work together with Zhejiang Province to plan the development of nuclear power in Zhejiang, and deepen the cooperation between CNNC and Zhejiang Province.

    Mr. Lv Zushan thought that Zhejiang Province has a good base in the field of the development of nuclear power. There were three nuclear power projects in Zhejiang Province. In the future, Zhejiang Province will take the development of nuclear power as an important task. He hoped that CNNC can provide more cooperation opportunity in the construction of nuclear power and the exploitation of uranium resources for Zhejiang Province.

    Mr. Zhang Xuzong, Director of the General Administrative Office of CNNC, Mr. Li Jinying, Director of Department of Planning of CNNC, Mr. Chen Hua, Director of Department of Nuclear Power, and some leaders attended the meeting.
