On Sept 17, 2008, Nigerien Premier Seine Oumarou visited CNNC headquarters. Mr. Kang Rixin, president of CNNC, talked with the honored guest.

    Mr. Kang showed a warm welcome for Premier Seine Oumarou to visit CNNC headquarters during Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games first, and then he introduced the general situation of CNNC, and emphatically introduced the situation of the exploitation and exploration of uranium mine project in Niger. He said that the Azelic uranium mine will be built in 2010, and the exploration project is in progress.

    Mr. Kang thanked the Nigerien Government for supporting and helping CNNC. He said that CNNC strived for the harmonious development, would push the cooperation of uranium exploitation and benefit the local people. He welcomed Premier Seine Oumarou to visit the nuclear power plant and scientific research institutes which belongs to CNNC.

    Premier Seine Oumarou said that it was very happy to visit CNNC headquarters, and discuss the further cooperation on Nigerien uranium mine project. He said that Nigerien Government supported and was satisfied with the uranium mine project. He hoped that the cooperation would have a wonderful future.

    Mr. Sun Youqi, vice president of CNNC, Mr. Wang Sen, member of the Party’s leading group, Mr. Cao Zhongming, vice director of the Department of Asian Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of PRC, and leaders from some departments of CNNC attended the meeting.
