On Sept 17, 2008, Mr. Kang Rixin, president of CNNC, and Mr. Khaled Touqan, president of Jordan Atomic Energy Commission (JAEC), signed the cooperation protocol in peaceful use of nuclear energy between CNNC and JAEC in the Great Hall of the People. PRC President Hu Jintao and King Abudullah Ⅱof Jordan attended the signing ceremony.

    According to the protocol, CNNC and JAEC will develop the cooperation in the field of the exploitation of uranium resources, the human resources training, and the construction of nuclear power.

    Before signing the protocol, Mr.Kang Rixin and Mr. Khaled Touqan has had a friendly talk in CNNC headquarters. They showed the confidence for the cooperation, and thought that the cooperation would co-win and push the development of nuclear energy between both nations.
